Paul Doege joined MPW Engineering Solutions as a Refrigeration Engineer in 2014, but he’s been an active member of IIAR (International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration) since 2009. In 2012, he became a voting member of the Piping Committee, where he has been involved in creating an Ammonia Piping Color Scheme, putting together a pipe sizing model based on today’s economics, and revising out-of-date material in the Ammonia Piping Handbook. Most recently, he has been tasked with leading a group to review and revise the chapters on Pipe Installation and Equipment Room Piping.

IIAR is the world’s leading advocate for safe, reliable and efficient use of ammonia and other natural refrigerants. Members of IIAR share their collective knowledge and experience to produce consensus documents that address various aspects of the natural and industrial refrigeration industry, and their industry representation includes manufacturers, design engineers, contractors, end users, academics, scientists, and trainers. IIAR sets the standard for providing advocacy, education and the most up-to-date technical information to the ammonia and natural refrigeration community.
